My church decided to have a BIG birthday party for the entire congregation. People were asked to decorate a table for each month and they asked others to decorate cakes for each month. I chose November. We have had a very busy August so I really didn't have much time to work on a cake. This cake has a butter yellow cake bottom tier and a chocolate top tier, filled with vanilla buttercream and covered with marshmallow fondant. Hopefully I captured the essence of November in this cake. I like the simplicity of this design.

Littlest Pet Shop
This year Miss K wanted a Littlest Pet Shop themed birthday party. She also decided she wanted a cookie cake instead of a regular cake. I loved making this cake. I make the animals by using the frozen buttercream transfer method. It worked great. I also love the colors on this cake. Now I know that this is not perfectly round, however it is made by hand and with lots of love. Happy Birthday to one of my favorite girls in the world!
Whimsical Birthday Cake
The big sister of the Little Miss Matched Sock Party wanted a more sophisticated cake for her birthday. This was my first Topsy Turvy cake. It was fun to make. I can't wait to do another. This cake is vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, and covered in marshmallow fondant. A sophisticated cake for a sophisticated young lady and a great big sister!
Who lives in a Pinapple Under the Sea???
SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!!!
This cake was another first. This cake was half white and half chocolate cake divided down the middle, baked at the same tine, in the same pan. This cake is decorated with buttercream. Spongebob was done by hand directly on the cake. Happy Birthday Matthew!!!

Happy Birthday to Twins Who Will Rock Your Socks!
I received a call to do a birthday cake for twins girls who were going to have a "Little Miss Matched" themed bouncing party at BounceU. Little Miss Matched sells mostly socks that are in sets of 3 that don't match exactly, what better way to show off your socks at BounceU. These girls will "Rock Your Socks!" This cake is Chocolate with chocolate buttercream, covered in marshmallow fondant.

She Said Yes!
I was asked to be part of a HUGE surprise. A sweet guy was going to propose to his girlfriend and he had a whole day planned with a party with their friends and family after the actual asking of THE QUESTION! He asked me to make a cake for the party and he asked for a ring box cake that matched the box that he gave to his betrothed with the ring in it. To have enough cake for the party, I decided to make a "pillow" cake to put the ring box on. This was a chocolate cake filled with seedless raspberry preserves and covered with chocolate buttercream and fondant. It was yummy, very rich. Everything on the, except the "diamond" is edible.

I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts!!!
One day a friend came over to my house and saw one of the cakes I was working on and she stated that she really wanted a monkey cake that is holding coconuts and says "I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts." I don't think that she thought I was listening, however when her birthday came around and another friend decided to have a surprise dinner for her and her closest 50 friends, I knew exactly what kind of cake she needed. This cake is completely edible! The base of the cake is chocolate covered in marhmallow fondant. The monkey is pound cake covered with mostly chocolate buttercream. The coconuts and bananas are marshmallow fondant, totally edible and tasty. And YES, our monkey has a cake tail.
TWINS!!
This cake is a baby shower cake that was made for a woman that was pregnant with TWINS! She didn't know the sex of the babies, so no blue or pink. The colors chosed here were based on her chosen bedding. This cake was white cake with a raspberry and buttercream filling and then covered with chocolate marshmallow fondant.
Happy Birthday Honey!
I made this cake for my husband's birthday. Unfortunately for him, I was busy making my son's cake and planning his party, that I just threw this cake together. (Their birthday's are just 4 days apart). It turned out ok, but there are things I would definitely change.
Go Diego Go!
My son has got to watch all these cake made before his birthday and when it came his turn, he had no problem deciding and did not waiver from his first choice, Diego. Even after his friends had Superhero and Thomas parties. My child wanted Diego, so I made him Diego. To make his day more special we made homemade ice cream to go with it. Go Diego Go!
Thomas and Friends!
After attending the party with the superhero cookie cake, I got a request for another cookie cake. This time the birthday girl wanted a Thomas themed cake. I cut Thomas out of a LARGE cookie. I then decorated Thomas with buttercream frosting. I decided that Thomas needed to be more interesting so I made him 3-D by doubling up on his face, wheels, bumbers, and number 1. I also thought Thomas needed to be on a track so I made cookie and licorice track. I'm beginning to really like cookie cakes.
Superheros!
My son's best friend wanted a superhero's party. His mom found Siderman and Batman decorations for the party. This little friend also prefers cookies to cake, so we decided to do a cookie cake. The cookie cake was a hit.
And then we were not sure how many people were coming so we decided to add on some chocolate cupcakes with yellow buttercream frosting. The batman emblems are hand cut from marshmallow fondant. All were yummy!

Hola!, It's Dora!
Another beatiful girl I know made a specific request for a Dora cake for her birthday. She was determined to have a Dora Birthday. I made this chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. "Come on everbody, let's go!"
Happy Holidays
Happy Holidays! This cake was made for a company holiday party. Red Velvet cake with Almond Marshmallow Fondant, Delicious and cute snowmen to boot! The snowmen are not edible but all of their decorations are.
Hello Kitty!!!
This cake was made for for a beatiful girl who was turning 5. We discussed many different themes until she finally decided on Hello Kitty. This cake was white cake, with vanilla buttercream, covered in marshmallow fondant. Happy 5th Birthday!
IT'S A GIRL!!!
Yes, it's all edible, the hat, blanket, and baby. This cake was made for a dear friend who was pregnant with her second child. This is one of my favorite cakes. I used the bedding that she chose for inspiration for the "baby blanket" covering the baby. The base of this cake was white cake with fresh strawberry filling. The baby was a pudding cake. This is also made with marshmallow fondant which I think lends to a better tasting cake.
Look baby toes!!! Oh and baby is appropriately dressed with a "diaper".
Last Cake Class - Gum Paste
And this was the last cake of my last class. This cake is decorated with gum paste daisies. I made this cake for an office going away party as well for my friend wsho happened to be the one I took the classes with. Double duty cakes! With fresh stawberries inside and out, YUM!
Another Class Cake - Tiers
This another class cake on how to tier a cake. This cake is covered in fondant and shows off the fondant roses we made in class. I made this cake at the same time I made another cake so not a lot of time was spent on this cake and the fondant was whatever I had left over from the baby cake, therefore the colors are not exactly what I would have chosen for a cake like this.
