Littlest Pet Shop

This year Miss K wanted a Littlest Pet Shop themed birthday party. She also decided she wanted a cookie cake instead of a regular cake. I loved making this cake. I make the animals by using the frozen buttercream transfer method. It worked great.  I also love the colors on this cake. Now I know that this is not perfectly round, however it is made by hand and with lots of love. Happy Birthday to one of my favorite girls in the world!

Thomas and Friends!

After attending the party with the superhero cookie cake, I got a request for another cookie cake. This time the birthday girl wanted a Thomas themed cake. I cut Thomas out of a LARGE cookie. I then decorated Thomas with buttercream frosting. I decided that Thomas needed to be more interesting so I made him 3-D by doubling up on his face, wheels, bumbers, and number 1. I also thought Thomas needed to be on a track so I made cookie and licorice track. I'm beginning to really like cookie cakes.

Superheros!

My son's best friend wanted a superhero's party. His mom found Siderman and Batman decorations for the party. This little friend also prefers cookies to cake, so we decided to do a cookie cake. The cookie cake was a hit.

And then we were not sure how many people were coming so we decided to add on some chocolate cupcakes with yellow buttercream frosting. The batman emblems are hand cut from marshmallow fondant. All were yummy!
